Types of Notifications
The Parent Dashboard sends several types of alerts to keep you informed about your child learning.
Inactivity Alert
If your child has not had any learning activity (quizzes, AI tutor, flashcards) for 3 or more consecutive days, an inactivity alert appears on your dashboard.
What to do: Talk to your child. Ask if anything is preventing them from studying. Offer support, not pressure.
Weekly Email Report
Every week, you receive an email summarizing your child activity:
Quizzes completed and average score
Study streak and level
XP earned this week
Subject breakdown
Any achievements earned
What to do: Review the email. If scores are dropping or activity is low, reach out to your child.
Achievement Notification
When your child earns a new badge or reaches a milestone (like a 7-day streak), you receive a notification.
What to do: Celebrate with your child. Positive reinforcement works better than pressure.
Notification Preferences
You can customize which notifications you receive:
Streak alerts: on/off
Weekly summary: on/off
Inactivity warnings: on/off
Achievement notifications: on/off
Push notifications: on/off
Go to your Profile page and click Notification Preferences to adjust these settings.
When to Be Concerned
Most fluctuations in study activity are normal. However, if you notice:
Zero activity for over a week
Consistently declining quiz scores
A child who seems stressed about studying
These may be signs that your child needs support, not pressure. Consider talking to their teacher or using the Parent Academy courses for guidance.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I turn off weekly email reports?
Go to your Profile page, click Notification Preferences, and toggle off Weekly Summary. You will stop receiving the weekly email but can still see everything in the dashboard.
Will my child know I received an inactivity alert?
No. Alerts are sent to you only. Your child does not see that you received an alert. How you act on it is up to you.
Can I get push notifications on my phone?
Yes. If you enable push notifications in your browser and toggle them on in Notification Preferences, you will receive push alerts for inactivity and achievements.
