Portfolio Privacy Options
Your Nehiju Learn portfolio gives you full control over who can see your work.

Three Privacy Levels

Private (Default) — Only you can see your portfolio. This is the starting state. Use this while you are building and organizing.
Link Sharing — Anyone with the specific URL can view your portfolio. The link is not indexed by search engines. Share it directly with employers, universities, or mentors. You can regenerate the link at any time to invalidate old shares.
Public — Your portfolio is discoverable and may appear in search results. Use this if you want to build a public professional presence.

Item-Level Control

Even when your portfolio is shared, you control individual items:
  • Show or hide specific projects

  • Show or hide certificates

  • Show or hide your skills and achievements
  • Safe Sharing Practices

  • Use link sharing for job applications — you control who gets the link

  • Regenerate your link if you have shared it broadly and want to reset access

  • Review your portfolio before sharing — make sure everything you want visible is shown and everything private is hidden

  • Do not include personal contact information in project descriptions
  • Showcase Projects Safely for Kenyan Students and Youth

A digital portfolio on Nehiju Learn allows students to display completed coding projects, writing samples, design work, and academic milestones. Privacy settings give users full control over which projects are publicly viewable and which remain private or restricted to teachers and parents, protecting young learners' personal information online.

Sharing Portfolios with Mentors and Educational Institutions

When applying for academic scholarships, university programs, or technology internships, students can generate secure sharing links to showcase their work. Demonstrating verified coursework from the 10 professional academies provides compelling evidence of practical skills and self-motivated learning.

Connecting Portfolio Projects to Professional Academies

As learners complete assignments in Software Dev, Data Science, UI/UX, or Digital Marketing, their work is automatically organized into their portfolio. This systematic record highlights growth over time and builds confidence as students prepare to enter higher education or the Kenyan job market.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see who viewed my portfolio?

Link sharing does not track viewers. If you need analytics, consider using a separate link tracking service for your portfolio URL.

What happens when I regenerate my share link?

The old link stops working immediately. Anyone who tries to access it will see a Portfolio not found message. You will get a new link to share.

Can I make my portfolio public temporarily?

Yes. Switch to public, share your portfolio, then switch back to private or link sharing when you are done. The change takes effect immediately.
