- Learning activity: quiz results, XP, streaks, progress
- AI conversations: messages sent to Mwalimu AI tutor
- Homework images: images uploaded for AI checking
- Payment information: payment records via Paystack (we do not store card numbers)
- Cookies and storage: session tokens, language preference
- Analytics: PostHog, TikTok Pixel for usage tracking
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide CBC and Academy learning services
- To track progress and provide reports
- To provide AI assistance through Mwalimu
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To improve our services through data analysis
3. Third Parties
Your information is shared with the following parties for service delivery:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Paystack — payment processing
- NVIDIA / OpenRouter — Mwalimu AI service
- PostHog — product analytics
- TikTok — advertising tracking
- Google — fonts and YouTube video embeds
We do not sell your data to anyone. These parties have their own privacy policies.
4. Young Learners' Privacy
Nehiju Learn is used by school-age students. For young learners:
- AI conversations and homework images are stored for learning purposes
- Parents/guardians can view progress through the parent portal
- We do not send learners' personal information to advertising systems
- Homework images are retained only for a short period
5. Data Security
We use Supabase which provides database-level encryption. Payment secrets are kept server-side. We do not store card numbers.
6. Your Rights
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Request a copy of your data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Opt out of advertising tracking

7. Data Retention (Kenya)
Account data is retained while the account is active. Learning data is kept for the account's lifetime. Homework images are retained briefly. We aim to align with Kenya's applicable data protection requirements.
