Do I need to be a registered teacher to enroll?
No. The Teacher Academy is open to anyone interested in education — practicing teachers, student teachers, tutors, parents who homeschool, and education students. Create a free account and select Teacher as your role.
Are the courses aligned with TSC requirements?
Our courses are designed to support CBC implementation and modern teaching practices in Kenya. While we align our content with Kenyan education standards, you should check with your school or the Teachers Service Commission about whether our certificates count toward your professional development requirements.
Can I access the courses on my phone?
Yes. All Teacher Academy courses are fully mobile-responsive. You can watch video lessons, complete knowledge checks, and download resources on your phone. This makes it easy to study during commutes or breaks.
How do I get my certificate?
Complete all 5 modules and pass the final assessment with 70% or higher. Your certificate is generated automatically and available for download as a PDF from your Profile page. The certificate includes a verification link.
Can I use Nehiju Learn tools with my students for free?
Teachers can create a free account and access the Teacher Academy. Students need a CBC trial subscription (100 KSH for 30 days) to access interactive features like quizzes and AI tutor. Schools can purchase vouchers in bulk for their students.
What if I need help during a course?
If you have questions about course content, you can:

Are new courses added?
Yes. We regularly add new courses based on teacher feedback and emerging needs in Kenyan education. If there is a topic you would like to see covered, contact us with your suggestion.

How long do I have to complete a course?
There is no time limit. You can complete courses at your own pace. Your progress is saved automatically, so you can return anytime and continue where you left off.
Can I download the videos for offline viewing?
Currently, videos are streamed online. We are working on an offline mode for the mobile app. In the meantime, download the worksheets and resources while online for offline reference.
Is there a community for Teacher Academy participants?
The Community section on Nehiju Learn has a Teachers forum where you can discuss course content, share resources, and connect with other Kenyan educators.
