What Is the Nehiju Learn Leaderboard?
The leaderboard ranks all Nehiju Learn students based on their XP (experience points) earned through quizzes, AI tutor sessions, flashcards, and other learning activities. It creates friendly competition and motivation across the Kenyan student community.

How the Leaderboard Works

Rankings are based on XP earned within a time period:
  • All-time — Total XP since you joined Nehiju Learn

  • This month — XP earned in the current calendar month

  • This week — XP earned in the current week (Monday to Sunday)
    • You can switch between these views to see different rankings.

    Subject-Specific Leaderboards

    In addition to the global leaderboard, you can view rankings for specific subjects. The subject leaderboard ranks students based on quiz performance in that subject, not just XP.
    Subjects with active quiz data in the last 30 days appear as selectable pills at the top of the leaderboard page.

    How to Earn XP

    You earn XP from:
  • Quizzes — 10-50 XP per quiz depending on score

  • AI tutor sessions — 5 XP per session

  • Flashcards created — 3 XP each

  • Flashcards reviewed — 1 XP each

  • Daily challenge — 25 XP bonus

  • Course completion — 100-500 XP depending on course

  • Badges — Variable XP based on badge type

  • Study daily — Consistency beats intensity. 20 minutes every day earns more XP over a week than 2 hours once.
  • Take quizzes seriously — Quizzes are the highest XP activity. Aim for high scores.
  • Use all tools — Flashcards, notes, and AI tutor all contribute XP. Diversify your study methods.
  • Complete courses — Course completion gives large XP boosts.
  • Maintain your streak — Study streaks keep you motivated and ensure steady XP gains.

    How is my leaderboard rank calculated?

    Your rank is based on total XP earned in the selected time period (all-time, this month, or this week). More XP means a higher rank.

    Can I see how I rank in specific subjects?

    Yes. The leaderboard has subject-specific pills. Click a subject to see rankings based on quiz performance in that subject only.

    Does my leaderboard rank reset?

    Only for the weekly and monthly views. Your all-time rank never resets. Weekly resets every Monday, monthly resets on the 1st of each month.

    Is the leaderboard only for paying users?

    No. Anyone with a Nehiju Learn account appears on the leaderboard. Free users who take quizzes earn XP and appear in rankings.
